So you’re flying solo…

So maybe you’re not part of a group but you still want to get involved. Or maybe you’re a parent looking for opportunities for your student. No worries! While Mission Adventures is designed for groups, Youth With A Mission is a large and diverse organization that has many, many, many opportunities for you. Here are a few to get you started:

MISSION ADVENTURES VOLUNTEER

We're always looking for qualified individuals to help us host the teams that come through our Mission Adventures program. Opportunities range from one week to a whole summer, depending on location. Feel free to contact any of the YWAM centers on our site that interest you and ask for an application. There may be minimum age requirements depending on location, so be sure to ask about that when you contact them.

INDIVIDUAL SHORT-TERM OUTREACHES

Many of the YWAM centers that offer Mission Adventures programs may also offer other programs catering to individuals. Feel free to contact any of the YWAM centers to inquire about these kinds of opportunities.

MISSION BUILDER

Many YWAM centers are willing to host non-YWAMers as volunteers for up to three months. This is a great way to learn more about missions and about YWAM. I recommend you visit YWAM's International Home Page. There you'll find information and links to most of YWAM's 1,000+ operating locations around the world. Again, there may be minimum age requirements. Or you could consider going with your family.

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (DTS)

You may be interested in a DTS after High school. This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about God, yourself, and of course the mission. It's a 5-6 month university level course consisting of a 12 week classroom phase followed by a cross-cultural outreach experience. You can find out more about the DTS here.
